December 2nd: Service Day and Brotherhood Ceremony

On Saturday, December 2nd, we will be at the Heard for the monthly LEC meeting, undertaking various service projects and ending the day with the last Brotherhood opportunity for 2023. The cost for the day is just $10, which includes dinner. If you are going through your Brotherhood, there is an additional cost of $25 to cover your new sash.

Schedule:

10 am – LEC
Lunch (on your own)
1 pm-5 pm – Service Projects
5:30 pm – Dinner (provided)
6:30 pm – Brotherhood check-in
7 pm – Brotherhood walk

What you need to be successful at this event:

Water Bottle
Work Clothes that can get dirty – including shoes.
Gloves to protect your hands – very important.
Sun Protection: Sunglasses, Hat, Sun Screen, Sun Shirt, etc.
Flashlight Headlamp.

Do I need a Scout Uniform and order of the Arrow Sash for this event?

Yes – please wear your full Scout uniform and Order of the Arrow Sash for the LEC Meeting, Dinner, and the Brotherhood Walk and Ceremony.

For Brotherhood Candidates:

Brotherhood candidates not attending the LEC should plan to arrive by 1 pm to participate in the service projects. You must have completed your ordeal at the March 2023 Heard Ordeal (or earlier) for eligibility for Brotherhood.

There will be no walk-ups for this event to help with everyone’s health and safety.

New Patches and New Fundraiser Flap

Continuing with our “Patches with a Purpose” program we turn this year to Men’s Health. Join us in raising money for Prostate On-site Project, a local Phoenix area company with the mission of helping men with the early detection of Prostate Cancer and to make screenings available to all men in Arizona. All proceeds will be donated to this amazing cause.
